Dubai Capitals have signed Australian opener David Warner for the upcoming second editions of the ILT20 2024. Warner will be playing for their sister franchise in UAE now that he is playing for Delhi Capitals team in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Dubai Capitals shared a clip on Instagram that showed David Waner in action. With the caption: “New Sultan in Dubai. We are awaiting a legend.”, the Australian opener can be seen grinding hard in the Delhi Capitals nets.
David Warner Joined Dubai Capitals Team for the ILT20 2nd Season 2024
Since 2022, David Waner has been with the Delhi Capitals. In the last two seasons, he has provided the franchise with great starts at the top of the order and has played a great role at the top of the order. He was also a part of the team in 2009 for five years before being acquired back by the franchise.
During his time with Delhi Capitals, David Warner has scored 2362 runs and smashed two centuries and 21 half-centuries. Over the course of 176 games, he has scored 6397 runs at a strike rate of about 140. He has also scored four tons and 61 half-centuries for the team.
There has been no confirmation regarding the price at which Dubai Capitals will be paying him. This will be the first time he will play in the ILT20.
