Dubai International Stadium T20 Records 2023

Dubai International Stadium will host 16 matches in the upcoming DP World ILT20 league, including the opening ceremony, the first match on 13th January, and the final on 12th February 2023. The UAE ILT20 league has six teams with 34 matches across Dubai International stadium, Sharjah cricket ground, and Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium.


Why is Dubai International Cricket Stadium famous?

Dubai Stadium is one of the top venues for T20 cricket because of hosting phenomenal games, such as the final of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup between New Zealand and Australia. This venue holds the record for hosting the most T20Is, as 86 games have been played. Moreover, this venue also hosted 13 Tests and 45 ODIs matches. It’s an interesting fact that Dubai International Stadium hosted more than 144 Men’s international games.

Sunrisers Hyderabad held the record of the highest total of 219/2 runs against Delhi Capitals at Dubai International Stadium in the 2020 edition of IPL.

Lowest T20 Total by a Team

West Indies held the record of the lowest total of 55 all out against England at Dubai International Stadium in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021.

Highest T20 Individual Score

KL Rahul of King XI Punjab scored 132 not out against Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League 2020 edition.

Highest T20 Sixes by an Individual in an inning

Ishan Kishan of Mumbai Indians smashed nine sixes in an inning against Royal Challengers Banglore in IPL 2020 edition.

Best Bowling Figures

Umar Gul held the best bowling record of 24/6 for Multan Sultan against Quetta Gladiators in the Pakistan Super League 2018 edition.

Worst Bowling Figures

Mitchell Starc conceded 60 runs in the four overs for Australia against New Zealand in the final of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021.

T20 Hat-Tricks

Mohammad Amir (Karachi Kings), Junaid Khan (Multan Sultans), and Harshal Patel (Royal Challengers Bangalore) took the hat-tricks for their franchises in PSL and IPL, respectively.

India defeated Afghanistan by 101 runs in Asia Cup 2022 edition.

Highest Partnership

Shane Watson and Faf du Plessis built a partnership of 181 runs against Kings XI Punjab in the IPL 2020 edition.
