The highly anticipated first season of ILT20 will begin on January 2023. As we get closer to the playoffs, more information like international players, pitches, and format are being revealed. We have listed all the latest developments in Emirates T20 League that you should know about.
The inaugural season of the ILT20 will follow 34 matches format, with each team facing each other in playoffs. All the matches will be played in 4 different stadiums throughout UAE. Each of the 6 teams will need to face each other in group matches before moving to the semi-finals.
Some of the expected choices of stadiums for the matches are Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Zayed Cricket Stadium, and Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
One of the main reasons fans are excited about this first season of UAE T20 is the inclusion of some of the most popular international players in all teams. Each team will consist of 18 players, out of which a maximum of 12 players can be international (the limit was set to 10 maximum previously)
