International T20 league franchise Gulf Giants has announced England right-handed Batter James Vince as their captain for the inaugural season. They shared this news on their official Twitter account by saying that the franchise can’t wait to see James Vince performing in the ILT20 and win the first trophy for them.
James Vince is a right-handed English stroke player who has played almost 300-plus games in the T20 format. He was also a part of the Champion England team, who won 50 over the world cup in 2019. Vince played his debut T20 back in 2015 against Pakistan. After that, he never looked dull in his form and got contracts from different leagues worldwide. He performed brilliantly and scored many runs in Big Bash, PSL, New Zealand Super Smash, and South African League.

On Vince’s announcement as captain, he said, “This is a great honor and an immense amount of responsibility to be captaining the Gulf Giants in the UAE ILT20 2023. I am glad the team management and coach Andy Flower have placed trust in me. I will hopefully be able to repay that with plenty of runs. I’ve had the good fortune of being captain in franchise cricket in The Hundred and with Hampshire in the Vitality Blast, and it was a successful stint too. And I hope to be able to continue with that trend in the International League T20.”
Gulf Giants Head Coach Andy Flower Added, “I’ve known James a long time, and I’m looking forward to working with him again for the Gulf Giants. He is an outstanding top-order player, a brilliant fielder, and one of the best tactical captains I’ve seen.
