Abu Dhabi Knight Riders are one of the six participating team in UAE T20 League 2023. This International League T20 Franchise is owned by KKR Group. ABDKR represents the hearty spirit of the People of Abu Dhabi. They will be battling against 5 other opponents for the inaugural title of ILT20 2023.
Abu Dhabi Knight Riders ( ILT20 2023 Franchise Teams)
Since the commencement of the International League 2023, many Business Owners rushed to grab the ILT20 Franchise Teams. Bollywood Celebrity, Actor, and Film Producer Shah Rukh were among a few of these Tycoons who scored a Franchise team in UAE’s Premier T20 League.

This became the 4th Cricket League Team that is now owned by KKR Group. Kolkata Knight Riders Group is owned by Shah Rukh Khan, Juhi Chawla, and her Spouse Jay Mehta. KKR Group first acquired the rights for Indian Premier League Team Kolkata Knight Riders in 2008. They again Purchased the Tribango Knight Riders of the Caribbean Premier League in 2015.
After the announcement of UAE T20 Premier league in 2021, Kolkata Knight Riders owner Shah Rukh Khan purchased Abu Dhabi Knight Riders franchise to represent Abu Dhabi City in International League T20. KKR Group became the owner of the USA T20 Cricket Franchise in Major Cricket in 2020. Now, they have put their money in the 4th Cricket League Team known as ABDKR.
Initially, Abu Dhabi Knight Riders team will sign four IPL Players from IPL Kolkata Knight Riders. As ILT20 Administration has not yet decided to hold an auction for players, more players will be added later to the ABDKKR. However, as per the rules of ILT20, there will be at least 8 to 9 Foreign Players in each franchise.

Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi – Home Venue for Abu Dhabi Knight Riders Franchise
Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi is the home venue for Abu Dhabi Knight Riders team in ILT20. This Cricket stadium was established in 2004 with a cost of $23 million. Emirate Cricket Board operates Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium. It has the capacity to entertain 20,000 cricket spectators.
Sheikh Zayed cricket stadium is the home venue for the Abu Dhabi cricket. In 2021, the stadium hosted some matches during ICC T20 World Cup. Now, it is also one of the venues for International League 2023.
